    This year’s Performance Racing Industry show is back in Indianapolis after many years in Orlando and Ford Racing have just unveiled the New 2015 Ford Mustang in their booth with the help of Richard petty and chief Mustang engineer Dave Pericak. Good news is you can learn even more about the 2015 Ford Mustang at the Performance Racing Industry Trade show (PRI) in Indianapolis, Indiana by stopping by the booth. Answering all questions Mustang at PRI will be the man who has led the ongoing development of the fifth-generation and the creation of the sixth-generation, Dave Pericak. As the lead engineer for Mustang since mid-2008, Pericak is the man with all the knowledge. He will be in the Ford racing booth #1925/#2025 during the show December 12-14th 2013. The show is open to the trade only and credentials are required. Can anyone spot a Muscle Mustangs & Fast Ford Editor in this shot – if so name him in the comments and you may win a special prize.

  • How To Order A 2015 Mustang

    Well we have all seen the new 2015 Ford Mustang by now and we think that the overall consensus is going to be that this car is something a lot of us would like to own in our driveway next year, So the big question is when can we actually go and order one, sign the paper work and put a deposit down on this beautiful. Well word has it that Ford will open the ordering books for the redesigned 2015 Mustang in mid-April, while production of the sixth-generation pony car will being on July 14 and first deliveries starting around the beginning of August 2014. Further details will become available soon but you can check with your local Ford dealer for more information. We would be surprised if this information is not correct as the iconic pony car celebrates its 50th anniversary in April and it would seem to make sense that you could order the 50th anniversary edition that same month. There’s not a lot of information on how much the 2015 Mustang will cost around the world, but we are sure it will fall in line with the current model prices – be sure to visit the Ford Mustang site for more information and you can be sure we will keep you apprised of any information as soon as we get it.

  • Listen To How A 2015 Mustang GT Sounds

    After the big reveal in Hollywood at the Manns Chineses theatre the 2015 Ford Mustang GT was taken down to Venice beach for fans to take another look outside of the cramped space at the Chinese theatre. Following the Venice beach reveal fans were also treated to a suprise visit that following saturday morning to a Cars and Coffee event in Irvine southern California.
    This was a special event for fans because the new pony car was revealed in full less than a week ago and Mustang and muscle car fans were already getting a chance to see the car up close and personal for the first time. The 2015 red Mustang GT was fired up and bystanders were given the oportunity to hear the throaty V8 5.0-liter engine being started up and being given a chance to clear its throat.  According to the ford website the new 5.0 motor is good enough for more than 420 bhp (313 kW) and a peak torque of 528 Nm (390 lb-ft). We think this new Mustang is Hot and sounds great - we are anxiously awaiting the automotive media's test drive conclusions and look forward to this car being on the streets in the fall of 2014.

  • Ford Considering A Hybrid Mustang

    The Ford Mustang may not be the first vehicle that comes to mind when you think of environmentally-friendly forms of transportation. The arrival of the turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the new Mustang could do a lot to combat that perception, but the EcoBoost engine may just be the tip of the iceberg in that regard.

    Speaking with Ford powertrain boss Bob Fascetti at the reveal of the new Mustang in Australia, GoAuto reports that the Blue Oval automaker is considering offering its latest pony car with a diesel, hybrid or even electric powertrain in the future.

    "We're not looking at diesel at the moment, but given where we need to go with fuel consumption we are looking at all our options," said Fascetti. Other options could include a nine- or ten-speed automatic transmission to replace the current six-speed unit in order to help improve fuel economy and emissions for the Mustang, although figures for the current lineup have yet to be revealed.
