Do you embody the spirit and passion of Ford Mustang? Are you a die-hard Mustang fan? If so, Ford is looking for you as part of its 2014 BET Awards #MustangAndMe contest.
One grand prize winner will be announced during the live broadcast of the 2014 BET Awards on Sunday, June 29, getting the keys to an all-new 2015 Mustang. This contest is the latest initiative in the celebrations that have been taking place for months to mark 50 years of Ford Mustang. “For five decades, Mustang has represented some of the best American culture, inspiring a feeling of freedom and independence,” said Shawn Thompson, manager, Ford multicultural marketing. “For this contest, we are looking for individuals to showcase how they embody the passion and spirit of Mustang through a 60-second video.” To be entered in the contest, fans must create and upload an original 60-second video showing and telling how they embody the Mustang life. “This marks the first year we’ve ever had a Mustang at the BET Awards,” said Thompson. “As we mark 50 years of this automotive and cultural icon, it’s a perfect year for us to bring a Mustang to one of the most watched awards shows on cable television and give it away to a fan who most embodies the spirit and passion of the car.”

Remembering The Fallen This Memorial Day 2014

As many of us prepare to use the three-day weekend to take a road trip, enjoy an outdoor barbecue or just chill and enjoy the fact that we have an extra day off this week, we should also stop and consider the deeper and true meaning of Memorial Day. Memorial Day is an American holiday observed on the last Monday of May that honors men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. it also unofficially at least marks the beginning of summer for us in the USA. The National Moment of Remembrance encourages all Americans to pause wherever they are at 3 p.m. local time on Memorial Day for a minute of silence to remember and honor those who have died in service to the nation. Brothers Performance will be closed this Monday May 26th in rememberance of Memorial day and the staff will observe and remember the fallen service men and women of the United States Armed Forces at 3pm to thank them for their ultimate sacrifice so we can live in the land of the free. We would also like to remind everyone about the service men and women who have been injured and severley disabled in combat and battle.

The European Roads Await The 2015 Ford Mustang

As we mentioned in a previous blog story here on the Brothers Performance site, Ford are using the upcoming May 24th UEFA Cup soccer final to launch and introduce the all new 2015 Ford Mustang into Europe for the first time in its 50 year history.To do this Ford have hired an advertising agency to create an number of TV commercials that will air in their respective countries during the UEFA cup final game - There is an overall European version - London - Paris, Berlin and a Rome version with the tag line "The Road Awaits" All of the film footage used in the commercials highlights famous roads in each city – including the Coliseum in Rome, Regent St in London and the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.” The commercials are part of a larger, 360 campaign which also includes digital, social media, email, print, and movie theatre advertising.
Each of these campaigns will direct viewers to a place where they can register their details for a chance to pre-order one of only 500 special 2015 Ford Mustangs that will be available to pre-order for an early delivery ahead of the cars official European launch. Order your 2015 Ford Mustang today: As of 12:01 EST Ford is now allowing dealers across the United States to officially submit customer orders for the exciting new Mustang. You can order from any one of the three engine options V8-5.0 Coyote, V6 or the exciting new Ecoboost 2.3L inline four turbo. There are various transmission options as well as trim and performance kits that can be added to any vehicle package. Ford also revealed today that the base model V6 will start at $24425 and that includes all fees which is actually a little over $1000 more than the 2014 Mustang base model.

Pricing for the V8 and Ecoboost models have not yet been released, but Ford tell us it will have the pricing for us all soon and we will be sure to let you know when we get that information - These new 2015 Mustangs are going to be great to modify and we can’t wait for some tuners to get their hands on the turbo charged model to see how many extra ponies they can push out over the V8 Coyote GT, what are your thoughts about the new Mustang?
