New Airbag Technology In The 2015 Ford Mustang

Ford is introducing an all new inflatable airbag restraint system that provides the front seat passenger in a Ford Mustang with knee airbag protection while significantly reducing system size and weight. This allows for a roomier interior for more comfort
This is a first for Ford as they introduce this first passenger knee airbag system packaged inside the glove box door that has 15 patents granted and more pending
The all new Mustang has twice as many airbags, twice as many peripheral crash sensors and additional pretensioning safety belt technology compared to the outgoing 2014 Mustang model. The new airbag will be introduced later this year as part of a standard comprehensive safety system that includes a more robust package of sensors, safety belt anchor pretensioners, improved exterior lighting and double the total number of airbags on the all-new Mustang. Jay Leno's top 10 Ford Mustangs

Jay Leno posts new videos to his Youtube channel every sunday and this week he has been asked to run down his favorite top ten Mustangs over the Last 50 years. Usually its a top ten from David Letterman but Jay gives us his "Top Ten favorite Mustangs of all time here in his latest video. As you know Jay is a real car nut however, he does make an error when he descibes one of his favorite mid eighties Mustang - see if you can spot what it is when he descibes the SVO Ford Mustang, Is it supercharged or turbocharged - If you know your Mustangs you will get it right. Jay maybe a little late to the birthday celebrations for the Mustang but its never too late to show your enthusiasm for this long running pony car that we have all come to love. 2015 Mustang Pace Car At Nascar Race

This past Sunday was fathers day around the world and again the marketing engine at Ford came up with another genius way to get the new 2015 Ford Mustang GT in front of a major audience on TV for the Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR Sprint race that was held at the Michigan International Speedway. The race ready and race red 2015 Ford Mustang GT was prepared with special "50 Years" graphics, special race rubber on all four corners and crazy bright LED pace car lights, that included an aerodynamic roof mounted set.

The 2015 Mustang ace car was powered by the new 420 horsepower and 390 ft/lbs of torque 5.0L V8 engine and was the perfect choice for the event seeing as the new 2015 Mustang is being built at the local Flat Rock Assembly plant, it felt like a home event of sorts for the Mustang crew. Ford have marketed Mustang Pace cars to the public in the past like the replicas of the 1964, 1979 and 1994 Indy 500 and the 2011 Daytona 500 pace cars for retail sale, but from what we hear Ford has no plans at this time to market replicas of this pace car to consumers, so that means this will probably added to Fords Collection of one of a kind collectibles.
