Ford issues safety recall for certain 2015 Ford Mustang vehicles with a 2.3 liter engine in North America for elevated underbody temperatures
Ford is issuing a safety recall for approximately 19,500 2015 Ford Mustang vehicles with a 2.3 liter engine (actual 19,486) for elevated underbody temperatures in North America. Prolonged exposure to elevated underbody temperatures might cause degradation of the fuel tank and fuel vapor lines, which could eventually result in a fuel leak. In addition, prolonged exposure to elevated underbody temperatures might cause the parking brake cable seals to degrade, potentially affecting parking brake functions. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. Impaired parking brake function could result in unexpected vehicle movement, which might increase the risk of injury.
Ford is not aware of any accidents, injuries or fires resulting from this condition.
Affected vehicles include certain 2015 Ford Mustang vehicles built Feb. 14, 2014 to Feb. 10, 2015 at Flat Rock Assembly Plant.
Mustang fanatics are waiting anxiously to see how much they will have to shell out for the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 when it arrives on the dealer lots later this year. Well the wait may be over and we have found out that this Shelby maybe somewhat of a bargain.
There is a leaked price sheet that indicates the base model GT350 will start at just $47,870, while the track-oriented GT350R adds $13,500 to that price at $61,370. There is a $825 destination charge that is not calculated in on these numbers.( which actually does not mean anything as we highly doubt any of these rare Mustangs will actually sell for sticker anyway)
These prices if correct means that this high-performance Shelby Mustang will undercut, well, a lot of stuff. The GT350R is nearly $11,000 less than a Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and is $2,830 less than a base BMW M4.
The standard GT350 slides in below the base Chevrolet Corvette by $7,130, while the price should even be within the reach of some Camaro SS 1LE consumers. In short if these prices are acurate the GT350 and GT350R should appeal to a lot of people based purely on price alone.
According to many in the Auto media - these prices have been met with an initial degree of skepticism, Mustang6G reports that the prices are real and are showing up within the Ford dealer system.

New 2015 Mustang Rear Differential Bushing Kit From Steeda
Steeda Auto sports has introduced a new rear differential bushing insert system for the new 2015 S550 Mustang (GT, EcoBoost, V6).
This new design is available in street or full race combo system and will install in less than 1 hour.
These kits are fully adjustable and can be easily removed - it simply doesn’t get any better than this!
What do these differential bushing insert kits do you may ask? Well they help eliminate pinion angle changes, wheel hop, differential deflection all while increasing traction for better launches and better street handling! Watch the video we have included and you will see for yourself what they do
Unlike other competitors' kits that will increase NVH (noise, vibration, harshness), and take 3-4 hours to install forcing you to permanently modify the rear IRS suspension with a sawzall, This Steeda kit does not! Steeda's kit installs in under 1 hour, adds ZERO increase in NVH, is adjustable and can be easily removed at any time.
Steeda currently offer 3 kits:
Polyurethane - Aluminum and then a Street/Race combo kit
The Polyurethane kit is made from high-strength urethane to Steeda's exact specifications and durometers, the kit comes with 2 different bushing options - red are the 'street' 80 durometer bushings and the black 'performance' are a 90 durometer bushings. Both bushing options will increase performance with no increase in NVH, a Steeda-exclusive.
Steeda’s kit adds the strength and support the OEM bushings need to perform. Once again, this is not a permanent modification - there is no drilling, cutting or pressing required. Simply loosen and remove a couple bolts and this kit installs in less than 1 hour. Bushings are included for both the front and rear differential mounting locations. Grade 10.9 hardware is included with zinc-plated washers.
Note: For hardcore enthusiasts what want ZERO pinion deflection, then the Aluminum kit would be your option. The aluminum kit features aluminum bushing inserts. For race-use only as it will increase NVH and gear noise.
Product Benefits:
Limits IRS differential movement while increasing traction and eliminating wheel hop
No increase in NVH unlike the competition
Easily removable, not a permanent modification
100% designed, manufactured and made in the USA
Installs in 1 hour or less
