    Fifty years. That’s how long Ford’s been producing America’s favorite pony car—for half a century, can you believe it? It debuted on April 17, 1964 and its history is storied, from the streets, to the track, Mustang has been a winner.

    There’s hardly a group of owners more dedicated to a specific brand, make, or model, so it’s serious business when Ford tools up a new Stang. “The Ford Mustang inspires passion like no other car,” said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, global product development. “The visceral look, sound and performance of Mustang resonates with people, even if they never drove one,” he added.

    Ford recognizes the importance of its Mustang, and that’s why the heart and soul of Dearborn resides in the 2015. Based on the styling and a barrage of technology and options, the ’15 looks to be a superstar. Improvements come in power, handling, economy, safety, connectivity, and for the first time ever, it will be sold globally.

    Ford tells us there are over 200 Mustang clubs worldwide, including Iceland, the Ford Mustang Facebook page has nearly 6,000,000 likes and you can find a Mustang or Ford event virtually every weekend.     Looks like subscribers of Autoweek got an early copy of this weeks issue and with that they also got a look at the new 2015 Mustang photos, although we are still a little sceptical about the originality of them they do not look like crisp clean images and more like renderings again, especially as we have seen similar renderings on the internet for the last 6 months. These are based / created by people who imagine / think this is what it will look like based on removing the black camoflage from all the recent spy shots.   • 2015 Mustang Worldwide Reveal Thursday

    The big announcement and reveal of the ALL new 2015 Ford Mustang is this week. Yes it’s finally here! Set your DVR’s if you can’t tune in to this week’s Good Morning America between 7 and 9am this Thursday December 5th for the official global reveal that will be happening worlds wide of the all new pony car. George Stephanopolous and Robin Roberts will host the reveal in Times Square New York city. The unveiling will take place simultaneously in six cities on four continents, including, Dearborn, MI; New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Barcelona, Spain, Shanghai, China; and Sydney, Australia.

    There have been a lot of rumors and leaks and renders over the months leading up to this, though, so it's worth a brief summary of everything we know as of today.

    The base 2015 Mustang will look something like this photo above. The Evos Concept influences are there, of course, meaning an opening mimicking the Aston Martin mouths on the Fusion and Fiesta. Oh, and LEDs will be part of the equation. Some of you said the base car looks like an Accord Coupe. Here's to hoping hotter ones will look better.
