Just over one year ago Mustang enthusiasts could not get enough of the spy shots and renderings all over the internet of the much anticipated 2015 Ford Mustang. The automotive media was a buzz every day in the months preceeding the new 2015 Mustang launch and it was building into a frenzy for the big reveal.
People were traveling from all over the country to attend the launch and 50th birthday celebrations. The pressure was on for the Mustang design team to deliver an all new Mustang, not just to Americas faithful, but to a new now global audience.
Over the past few weeks Ford have been looking back over the launch of the 2015 Mustang last year with a series of videos about this complete process from concept, design, engineering and today's final part four video "The Launch"
Take a look back at the car's global reveal, the excitement was real and it was fun and somewhat of a relief for everyone involved to see all their hard work come to fruition and be appreciated by millions of fans old and new around the world.
Here we are, just over a year later and the 2015 Mustang is actually last year's model - you can only order a 2016 Mustang at Ford dealerships as of last week - the 2015 order books are closed !

The Ford Mustang is an amazing machine—50 years of production and countless accolades has given it iconic status in the eyes of Americans and enthusiasts around the world. And while there are many vehicles that share an enthusiast following, few can match the Ford Mustang. And recently, Ford released a Hot Ford Mustang Video, loaded with serious Stangs and loads of tire smoke.
The Mustang is a lot of things to a lot of people. It’s a classic, a daily driver, a racecar, a show car, a collectable and even a dream. Mustangs have starred on the big screen, on TV, in music videos and they’ve owned racetracks all over the world. And now, with the global 2015 Mustang, our favorite Ford is truly a world-wide muscle car.
At Brothers Performance, we’re all about Mustangs and we offer an endless list of aftermarket components to give your Mustang horsepower, style and unlimited handling ability. It’s amazing how the late-model EFI Mustangs have evolved. The Fox-body Stangs of the late ’80s changed the outlook of performance enthusiasts as the EFI systems opened the door to a new level of small-block performance.
With basic modifications, such as the BBK Performance cold-air kit and throttle body, Mustang owners cracked into the 12s, 11s and 10s. Power adders such as nitrous and the early Paxton, Vortech and Kenne Bell superchargers drove Mustang performance to an entirely new level.
This evolution has continued to the 5.0 liter Coyote-powered Mustangs of today. A good-running stock 225 hp 5.0 H.O. will make about 185 rwhp and that was a big deal. These days, the 5.0 Coyote makes as much as 435 horsepower (444 in the 2012-13 Boss 302!). We’re anxiously awaiting the horsepower numbers on the Shelby GT350, and we anticipate 520 hp from the 5.2 liter mill. It’s pretty amazing to think that a 302 cube engine in a Mustang could stop the most fierce big-blocks muscle cars of the 1960s and early 1970s.

Mustang enthusiasts are forever looking for Affordable Ways To Freshen The Fox-Body Ford Mustang, which was produced between 1979-1993. Whether you’ve had your Fox forever, or it’s a brand-new project car, you’ll want your Ford looking neat and tidy. Despite being introduced in 1979, the Fox-body Mustang is still considered a late-model performance car. It was the first Mustang to be equipped with electronic fuel injection, which came in 1985/86 and the technology has moved forward ever since.
Fox Mustangs remain affordable and virtually all the parts, from bumper covers to driveline components, to door seals and interior trim, are available either as new old stock (NOS) or reproduction. It really doesn’t matter if you’re building a street machine, show car, race car or doing a restoration, the Fox Mustang fits the bill.
Recently, the team at Brothers Performance spent a few hours installing a new ACC carpet (which retails for about $129.00) in James Bickham’s 1990 5.0 LX hatchback. Bickam’s Fox sports a warmed-over 302 with a head, cam, and intake package, and it wears sparkling silver paint and aftermarket wheels.
His carpet, however, was shot. More than just beat up, it was worn through in one area, and had multiple stains and discoloring, too. Thankfully, the fix was easy. Brothers Performance stocks the complete line of ACC carpets for all 1979-2014 Ford Mustangs in a variety of color options. And Brothers also has a state-of-the-art installation center, so we are able to handle the job for you. Swapping your carpet isn’t overly difficult, but it will take an afternoon, some basic hand tools and a little patience. Like any cosmetic job, it’s best to work slowly, especially since you’ll need to cut and trim the new carpet for a perfect fit.
