Take a look at this new Castrol Edge commercial that features a 2015 Roush Stage 3 Mustang in its Castrol Oil “Titanium Strong Virtual Drift.” livery.
The driver is Matt Powers who was commissioned to drive this RS3 Mustang on a closed course with a specially designed virtual reality helmet that simulated a virtual world.
As you will see he puts this very real Mustang through its paces drifting and power sliding all over the track which appears to be the old Marine Corps station base in Orange County, California.
The old El Torro air base features expansive runways, hangars, roads and buildings which have been used for a wide variety of events, filming and other activities since 2002 when it closed as a marine base.
This place has over eight million square feet of runways available, and has been used for vintage auto racing and filming numerous television shows, commercials and movies as well as car club events, driving schools, vehicle testing and corporate events.

Ford issues safety recall for certain 2015 Ford Mustang vehicles with a 2.3 liter engine in North America for elevated underbody temperatures
Ford is issuing a safety recall for approximately 19,500 2015 Ford Mustang vehicles with a 2.3 liter engine (actual 19,486) for elevated underbody temperatures in North America. Prolonged exposure to elevated underbody temperatures might cause degradation of the fuel tank and fuel vapor lines, which could eventually result in a fuel leak. In addition, prolonged exposure to elevated underbody temperatures might cause the parking brake cable seals to degrade, potentially affecting parking brake functions. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. Impaired parking brake function could result in unexpected vehicle movement, which might increase the risk of injury.
Ford is not aware of any accidents, injuries or fires resulting from this condition.
Affected vehicles include certain 2015 Ford Mustang vehicles built Feb. 14, 2014 to Feb. 10, 2015 at Flat Rock Assembly Plant.
Mustang fanatics are waiting anxiously to see how much they will have to shell out for the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 when it arrives on the dealer lots later this year. Well the wait may be over and we have found out that this Shelby maybe somewhat of a bargain.
There is a leaked price sheet that indicates the base model GT350 will start at just $47,870, while the track-oriented GT350R adds $13,500 to that price at $61,370. There is a $825 destination charge that is not calculated in on these numbers.( which actually does not mean anything as we highly doubt any of these rare Mustangs will actually sell for sticker anyway)
These prices if correct means that this high-performance Shelby Mustang will undercut, well, a lot of stuff. The GT350R is nearly $11,000 less than a Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and is $2,830 less than a base BMW M4.
The standard GT350 slides in below the base Chevrolet Corvette by $7,130, while the price should even be within the reach of some Camaro SS 1LE consumers. In short if these prices are acurate the GT350 and GT350R should appeal to a lot of people based purely on price alone.
According to many in the Auto media - these prices have been met with an initial degree of skepticism, Mustang6G reports that the prices are real and are showing up within the Ford dealer system.
