Here it is the all New Ford Racing 2014 Boss 302S Mustang. As a result of the success of the 2012 and 2013 Boss 302S, Ford Racing will be offering a 2014 Model Year race-prepared Mustang Boss 302S. Ford Racing Mustang Boss 302S is a factory-built race car, ready for track days and road racing in a number of SCCA and NASA classes. Minor modifications are required to meet different requirements for each series. The 2014 Boss 302S will be built at Ford Racing / Watson Racing. Color updates for 2014 include Grabber Blue and Flat Black. The Part number is M-FR500-B302S Price $89,995 - there is a limited build of 50 units only, If you are interested in purchasing one, please ask your Ford Dealer to enter a Placeholder Order with Ford Racing using Part Number M-FR500-B302S. Ford Dealers can refer to EFC02188 for order instructions. Order allocation and builds will be based off of the Placeholder Order Bank.

This Guy Needs A Wheelie Bar On His Mustang

We think this guy needs a wheelie bar on his Mustang, take a look at this drag race video shot this last weekend at the Georgia Motorsports Park - GA during qualifying for an Outlaw drag radial class. The cars owner and driver David Measell takes a wild ride and actually takes flight in his fox body Mustang as it runs about 100 feet down the track on the back bumper almost flying over the wall! After the race in an interview Dave said his team had just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower with a little spray in his 706! Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. This was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began. The Ford Racing Performance Parts BOSS 302 line was conceived because there was an unmet need for engines built from a block stronger than original regular production 302 blocks but more affordable than full race-prepped blocks. The new BOSS 302 engine block features greater strength than most race blocks and offers a street-capable cooling system design, something that race specific blocks tend to sacrifice. Ford Small Block Stroker Kits Available: What is a Stroker Kit you may ask - well first off a Stroker kit is an aftermarket assembly that increases the displacement of a reciprocating engine by increasing the travel of the piston (that is, the piston moves further up and/or down in the cylinder). This is done by using a different crankshaft where the crank pin is moved further away from the center of the axis of rotation of the crankshaft. A stroked crank increases the engines displacement and also uses leverage to produce more torque more easily. The most popular stroker kits for a Ford small block 302 are a 331 cubic inch or 347 cubic inch stroke. All you need to build yourself a nice Ford short block for your Mustang is a good Ford SB block with main caps and have it ready to give to a machine ship to do some Magnafluxing, clearance, boring, honing and cleaning work done. The stoker kits are very complete and contain all requires documentation and instructions for the machine shop to prepare the blocks for the installation of the stroker kit. Remember that the kits if not purchased as balanced will need to be balanced as well and also the correct flywheel and crank dampner purchased to ensure the engine balance is correct and you dont vibrate the thing to pieces. Even if your Stroker kit is purchased pre balanced it shopuld be double checked to avoid any problems down the road.
