Galpin Autosports To Auction 429 Boss Mustang To Benefit St Judes Childrens Hospital
Our Friends at Galpin Auto Sports, also known as GAS, has been building some of the industry’s wildest Ford Mustangs since it opened shop, we have seen them personally and they are amazing. The tuner’s newest project is a collaboration with specialty manufacturer SPX, and will be a 1969 Mustang Boss 429-inspired ‘Stang featuring 700-hp, Candy Apple Red Pearl paint, a custom one-off metal widebody and Forgiato three-piece wheels. The completed project will be auctioned off at the 2012 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona with the proceeds benefiting St. Jude Hospital to fight cancer. With everything going towards a good cause, the fortunate one to win the Mustang will get themselves one hell of a machine. The 5.0L V8 will be a whole new monster thanks to Ford Racing’s supercharger, camshafts from Comp Cams and a Bassani exhaust system. All 700-hp will feel nice and snappy through the transmission thanks to a Hurst short-throw shifter while the Eibach lowering springs give the Mustang better handling and a nicer stance. Speaking of stance, GAS will be outfitting the one-off custom with a staggered set of 21-inch (front) and 22-inch (rear) Forgiato wheels, wrapped with Pirelli P-Zero rubber. Peeking behind each custom three-piece wheel will be a set of Wilwood 14-inch rotors, with 6-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston calipers in the rear.On the outside, the Candy Apple Red Pearl PPG paint will be accented by the previously mentioned one-off metal widebody. A Roush billet aluminum grille will give the front end a bolder look while the original 1969 Boss 429 hood scoop pays homage to a true classic. For the rear, a Boss 302 Laguna Seca rear spoiler will be added.Once it’s completed the car will tour several shows across the country, including the 2011 SEMA Show. This entry was posted in News and tagged 2012 Boss 302 Mustang, Boss 302, st judes, Galpin ford, Ford Mustang on June 28, 2011 by Brothers Performance.

Rumor Has It Ecoboost In A 2013 Ford Mustang = SVO Badge !
Ford has been gradually rolling out its EcoBoost technology across its vehicle lineup – now including the F-150 pickup truck and the revised 2013 Taurus sedan — and it appears as though the Mustang could be next in line for a turbocharged powerplant. We’ve heard rumors of a re-born SVO Mustang before, but the latest report from Motor Authority gives us some concrete details. According to the report, the Mustang will soon be offered with an SVO-appropriate turbocharged four-cylinder.Although Ford’s 2.0L EcoBoost four-cylinder would appear to be the most likely candidate for the Mustang’s engine bay, that won’t be the case. Instead, Ford will increase the engine’s displacement to 2.3L before strapping it between the fenders of the Mustang. For those keeping track, the original SVO’s motor displaced 2.3L.No word on output, but the larger engine should provide more power than the 2.0L’s 247 horsepower. Given the V6-powered Mustang can already top 30mpg, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the EcoBoost version inch close to 40mpg.In addition to the new 2.3L, Ford is also said to be readying a 2.7L EcoBoost V6. The larger mill is being designed for front and rear-wheel drive applications, meaning it could eventually wind up under the hood of the ‘Stang.Children of the 1980s should temper their enthusiasm, though, as the new-age Mustang SVO isn’t expected until at least 2015.(from The Leftlane News.com)This entry was posted in News and tagged SVO Mustang, Ecoboost, supercharged v6 Mustang, Ford Mustang on June 12, 2011 by Brothers Performance.

Carol Has Over 800,000 Miles On Her Ford Mustang
Fairfield CA - May 2011:
What is so special about Carol Marini's Ford Mustang?
Well Carol has just rolled the odometer on her Favorite family member, her Ford Mustang she has had for 42 years, affection ally known to her as her "Blue Beast" past the 800,000 mile mark and there was someone there to video and witness this "mile marker" Think about it; 800,000 miles. What’s the most miles you have ever accumulated on one vehicle? I know i think 150,000 miles is a lot and you always wonder where did you go to rack up all those miles going to college? going to work thousands of time? Going on a family vacation? or a cross country trip? In this youtube video, she shares with us how her Mustang landed her free concert tickets, has helped her get through difficult times and has been her means of escape and freedom. In fact, it’s the only car she’s owned over the past 42 years! God Bless Carol - When we posted her story on our facebook page alot of people thought that Ford should use her story to create a new commercial for the upcoming 50th aniversary of the Ford Mustang pony car - and get this give her a brand new Ford Mustang !! - We agree and would love to see this happen !!
Congrats Carol !

2013 Shelby Mustang GT 500 To Get 5.8L & 600 Horsepower
2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
to Have 600-Plus
Horsepower.A month after the unveiling of the 550-plus-hp 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, rumors have been leaking out that Ford will advance the pony wars with a 2013 Shelby GT500 over 600 horsepower. Some of these rumors are saying the horsepower could be as high as 620 horses! This the result of boring out the current 5.4-liter V-8 to 5.8 liters and swapping the current Eaton M112 supercharger for the more-efficient and quieter TVS unit. This supercharger has a four-lobe rotors design and is the of choice of Audi's S4, Cadillac's CTS-V, Chevrolet's Corvette ZR1 and the all new Camaro ZL1..The current 5.4-liter in the recent GT500 already makes 550 hp. The car goes from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds and blasts through the quarter-mile in 12.4. With this new horsepower increase we should see the new 2013 GT500 to be at least a full second quicker on the quarter mile. The current GT500 tops out at 155 mph , whereas the new 2013 GT500 with the all new power and more effiecent supercharger it should be able to carry it to a 190 mph !The one thing Ford will not change is the rear suspension . The unchanged rear rear end will provide a little livelier feel. The new 2013 GT500 is expected to be released about 10 month after the 2012 ZL1 that is intended to go on sale for in 11 or so months. The estimated cost for the new GT500 with over 600 horsepower is 60,000 so start saving. This entry was posted in News and tagged Shelby, GT500, 2013 Mustang, Ford Mustang on May 7, 2011 by Brothers Performance.
