Ford has announced that the 2018 Focus RS will be the last of the current generation. This has many enthusiasts curious what goodies will come on the next generation RS, but Ford has also announced the Limited Edition Focus RS which will have some unique upgrades of its own.
The most notable of the upgrades you’ll get with the limited edition model is the addition of a Quaife limited slip differential in the front. This is designed to improve this car’s already impressive grip under acceleration and should help raise the car’s road course corner exit speeds.
Besides the differential upgrade, the limited edition Focus RS features forged 19-inch wheels and now comes standard with Ford’s RS2 package, which adds voice-activated navigation, heated and adjustable Recaro seats and a host of carbon fiber trim components. This model will be available in Race Red in addition to the typical Nitrous Blue paint option.
If you’re interested in the limited edition model, Ford will be taking orders later this summer, but you’d better put your order in soon. As the name implies, this will be a limited run. Ford will only produce 1500 of this model and the U.S. will only receive 1000 of those (500 will go to Canada).
