It’s important to note that Diablosport has been the undisputed leader in tuning late model Dodge HEMI engines. From the beginning Dodge has made it difficult to tune the 2006+ Charger, Challenger Hemi. Don’t worry; you don’t have to be a “computer guy” to quickly and safely tune your late model Charger or Challenger with the i3. It’s a simple as navigating a few menus to let the tuner know what mods you have and any custom settings you desire, such as speedometer correction, shit point and firmness changes, etc., then flashing the tune. If for some reason that sounds too complicated you can just use their Easy Tune option, which simplifies it down to a question/answer format, making an already easy process completely fool-proof. Even if you have a hard time using a smart phone, you’ll still be able to operate the Diablosport Hemi i3 tuner easily.

The payoff for your small investment of time and a few hundred bucks is a noticeable power gain throughout the RPM range. Obviously since this tuner works on a variety of Dodge vehicles, the power gain varies, but typical gains are in the 15 horsepower range and can be as high as 23 horsepower and 23 foot pounds of torque, as in the case of the Challenger or Charger 6.1L applications. If you have a Hellcat powered car, you can expect gains of 30 horsepower and 30 foot pounds at the wheels, just from the Diablosport preloaded tune! Also an important consideration is that if you have a 2015 or later Challenger, Charger, 300C or any other HEMI or Hellcat application you want to tune, you’re going to need to have the PCM unlocked. Sadly, Dodge began heavily encrypting their PCM in 2015 which requires some serious reprogramming that must be done at Diablosport. They have come up with a simple way of working around this though, as you can now simply swap your PCM for an unlocked one. The process is very simple and much less expensive than buying an unlocked PCM outright. How it works is you buy the tuner and PCM swap kit (part number 8320 in this case) and when you receive the kit you simply register online to receive your unlocked PCM. Diablosport verifies your purchase and send out an unlocked PCM and a prepaid return label. When you get it you simply swap the PCM out, flash your new tune and return your old PCM in the same packaging. Shipping is even prepaid both ways, including 2-day air when shipping the unlocked PCM to you.
