Don’t forget to buy a new radiator cap when you replace the radiator in your 1979-93 Mustang. Replace tired radiator caps as they can be the culprits for loss of coolant that leads to air pockets and overheating problems. Higher pressure rated radiator caps for high performance applications. High performance coolant system upgrades require the Mustang cooling system be in excellent condition, including simple components like the radiator cap.
