Improve rear axle durability on your 1979-1993 Mustang with this Superior Axle 31 spline hardened 5 lug axle conversion kit. Superior Axle shafts use a cold-formed rolled spline process to produce stronger than stock cut splines for to handle hard launches. The axle shafts are cold formed and induction hardened to ensure no breakage under harsh load.

Designed for Performance
Superior Axle designed these axles from 1541 carbon steel for strength and durability. This axle kit is packaged installation ready with studs bearings and seals. When converting to the 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern brake drums and wheels will need to be changed to accommodate this upgrade.
