Tech Notes: Mass Air Calibration/Fuel Injectors
All 1986-95 Mustang 5.0 liter models came standard with 19 lb/hr rated Fuel Injectors, while the Cobra models (1993-95) came standard with 24 lb injectors. Although it is very simple to upgrade fuel injectors, it is extremely important to use the corresponding mass air meter in order to maintain the correct air/fuel ratios. Failure to do so will result in erratic idle quality, poor gas mileage and un-passable emission outputs.
