and Cobras. This is the same Tremec HD 6-speed manual transmission used in the
2000 Cobra "R" and the Ford Racing FR500 Mustang

Gear ratios:

  • 1st: 2.97
  • 2nd: 2.07
  • 3rd: 1.43
  • 4th: 1.0
  • 5th: .80
  • 6th: .62

  • 440 lbs./ft. torque capacity
  • Can be used in ALL SOHC & DOHC 4.6L-Equipped Mustangs & Cobras
  • May require shorter driveshaft, modified crossmember/trans mount and other
    minor modifications for optimum fitment.
  • This has Electronic Speedometer pickup -NO mechanical speedometer Drive
    connections
  • 10 spline input, 31 spline output
  • Does not require seperate bellhousing as it Features an Integrated
    Bellhousing

Requires T56 crossmember part# FMM-5059-B when used on
1999-newer Mustangs.

This six-speed overdrive transmission was developed for adaptation to a wide range of vehicle requirements. Currently, the TREMEC T-56 is being used on the Dodge Viper, Chevy Corvette Z06, Ford SVT Mustang Cobra, Aston Martin DB7 Vantage and V12 Vanquish, and Holden Commodore and Monaro.
