Throttle Bodies
Most people have heard the expression Wide Open Throttle or WOT, well that’s what happens when you step on the gas pedal all the way to allow as much air as possible into the engine to get the maximum speed and performance possible from your engine.

At every stage of acceleration, you are essentially opening the throttle body flaps to allow more air into the engine to mix with more fuel to increase the combustion burn for more power and to speed the car up. Throttle bodies are used to control the amount of air intake into the engine which determines the engine speed and performance. Companies such as BBK Performance create throttle bodies with a larger bore diameter than OEM. This larger bore size allows more air to flow through the throttle body all the time and into your engine which results in better throttle response and improved horsepower through out the RPM range not just at WOT. All throttle bodies are a simple direct replacement and are 50 state legal in most cases.
