Lowering Springs
Lowering springs sets are one of first upgrades any driving enthusiast favors. Lower your cars center of gravity and you get improved handling and great looks right out of the box. Lowering springs are available in two different versions, specific rate and progressive rate. Specific rate lowering springs offer the same rate through out the travel or compression of the lowering spring making them result in a firmer ride with improved handling. This is the lowering springs of choice for a real driving enthusiast who enjoys some high spirited street driving and occasionally sees some track time. Progressive rate lowering springs are designed for the daily driver who wants to improve their handling while still maintaining a comfortable ride. With progressive rate lowering springs the distance between the coils on a progressive rate lowering spring varies from top to bottom. We are an authorized distributor for Eibach, BBK and Ford Racing.
Sway Bar
Bigger stiffer sway bars will help prevent under steer during hard cornering and stiffen up the front end suspension preventing nose dive. Though the installation of a sway bar gives you optimal handling in tight corners, a driver may experience a "waddling" sensation while driving on a uneven or broken pavement. Sway bars offer phenomenal handling improvements and should be on your wish list of suspension upgrades to your current suspension setup! Correct geometry of the sway bar is also very important, so be sure to have the correct length end links installed if you have lowered your car. See our Energy Suspension section. We also sell Addco, Eibach, Steeda and Ford Racing sway bar kits and performance handling packages.
Strut Tower Brace
During intense cornering the front shock towers tend to flex due to the strut tower not being directly connected to the main chassis rails. To improve handling and improve chassis rigidity and stiffness during cornering a strut tower brace is highly recommended. A strut tower brace is designed to help eliminate the front end chassis flex by distributing turning forces through the strut tower brace rather than the inner wheel well. The strut tower brace helps improve chassis rigidity, reduce understeer, and even tire wear by connecting the two towers together as one.
Brothers Performance sells strut tower braces manufactured by BBK, Maximum Motorsports, Steeda and Ford Racing. |
